The purpose of this course is to familiarise students with the International System of Units (SI Units), concentration words, different analytical procedures, forms of mistakes in chemical analysis, statistical testing of data, and safe use of chemicals and their waste products.

Section II of CUET 2022 categorises subjects/test papers into two groups: List B1 and List B2 (see Figure 1). To be approved for admission to the selected programme, the candidate must review Program-Specific Eligibility in order to identify which subjects to enrol in during CUET 2022 and which topics to avoid.

Papers on List B1 and List B2 will be evaluated for Program-Specific Eligibility if they meet the requirements.
As part of the calculation of the total marks according to Program-Specific combinations of themes used to determine merit and grant admissions to undergraduate programmes in the future, the applicant's marks earned in CUET 2022 will be taken into account. During the evaluation of an applicant's merit, only the 'combination of themes in which a candidate has appeared in CUET 2022', as stipulated in the applicable Program-Specific Eligibility, will be taken into consideration.
