It is the goal of this programme to prepare students to meet the health, physical fitness, and good lifestyle-related difficulties that they will encounter as members of the general public. Besides providing instruction in a variety of sports, the programme includes mandatory learning of sports science foundations and linked sports science courses. Students benefit from the research component of the programme because it teaches them how to collect data, evaluate it, and understand the results. Students will be able to provide appropriate comments in the associated area of investigation because of this. In the skill enhancement course, students are given a variety of options that are directly tied to putting knowledge into practise in the real world of society. In addition, this course provides a good foundation for all sorts of physical education and sports sciences teacher training courses at various levels.

As part of the calculation of the total marks according to Program-Specific combinations of themes used to determine merit and grant admissions to undergraduate programmes in the future, the applicant's marks earned in CUET 2022 will be taken into account. During the evaluation of an applicant's merit, only the 'combination of themes in which a candidate has appeared in CUET 2022', as stipulated in the applicable Program-Specific Eligibility, will be taken into consideration.
