BSc (Hons) Food Technology provides students with the chance to develop the necessary knowledge, skills, and aptitude for a career in the field of food science and engineering. Its primary objectives are to impart knowledge in areas related to Food Science and Technology; enable students to understand the composition of food, including its Physico-chemical, nutritional, microbiological, and sensory characteristics; introduce students to the technologies of food processing and preservation of plant and animal foods; cereals, pulses, oilseeds, fruits vegetables, spices, meat and poultry; seafood; milk and dairy products; and place emphasis on the interdisciplinary nature of the subject matter.

Section II of CUET 2022 categorises subjects/test papers into two groups: List B1 and List B2 (see Figure 1). To be approved for admission to the selected programme, the candidate must review Program-Specific Eligibility in order to identify which subjects to enrol in during CUET 2022 and which topics to avoid.

As part of the calculation of the total marks according to Program-Specific combinations of themes used to determine merit and grant admissions to undergraduate programmes in the future, the applicant's marks earned in CUET 2022 will be taken into account. During the evaluation of an applicant's merit, only the 'combination of themes in which a candidate has appeared in CUET 2022', as stipulated in the applicable Program-Specific Eligibility, will be taken into consideration.
