Banaras Hindu University (BHU), formerly known as Central Hindu College, is a central university recognised by the UGC and certified by the NAAC with a 'A' grade. Additionally, it belongs to the AIU. According to the NIRF 2021, BHU comes in third and tenth place in the "University" and "Overall" categories, respectively. Banaras Hindu University has inked memorandums of understanding (MoUs) with more than forty other institutions, both domestically and abroad, in order to better serve its students and staff. Many students from across the world, including the United States, Europe, Asia, the Middle East, and Africa, come to study at BHU because of the university's many partnerships with other institutions. Additionally, the university offers a number of scholarships to students who are financially and/or categorically disadvantaged. BHU has also emerged as one of India's best colleges in terms of job placements in the previous decade, with students receiving salary packages of up to INR 1 crore.

BA (Hons), B.Com (Hons), B.Sc (Ag), B.Sc (Hons), B.P.Ed, BPA, BFA, BFA, B.Sc (Hons), Shastri (Hons), and B.Sc (Nursing) are some of the 10 programmes offered at the undergraduate level at BHU. The length of each course varies depending on the subject matter.
Earlier, Admission to any of the UG programs requires that applicants have completed the 10+2 grade level with at least a 50 percent overall grade point average in the applicable subjects. but now, you have to give CUET entrance test. And there is no upper age limit for candidates taking the CUET (UG) - 2022. Candidates who have passed or are scheduled to take the class 12th/equivalent examination in 2022, regardless of their age, are eligible to take the CUET (UG) - 2022 test. Candidates will, nevertheless, be required to meet the age requirements (if any) of the university(ies) to which they wish to apply.
Students must have a master's degree in a relevant field in order to be considered for admission to the B.P.Ed and B.Ed programmes. Those who meet the university's eligibility requirements must also take the university's Undergraduate Entrance Test (UET).

BHU UG Admissions
Candidates for admission to UG programs at BHU must have completed 10+2 with a minimum of 50% in aggregate in relevant fields.
To be eligible for admission to BA.LLB, students must have completed 10+2 or equivalent qualification in a relevant subject. Candidates who are eligible must take the university's Undergraduate Entrance Test (UET).
The MBBS/BDS program requires a minimum of 50% marks in 10+2 with PCB and English (40 percent for reserved categories). The general category applicant must be at least 17 years old (5 years of relaxation for reserved categories).
Reservations for the 2022 BHU Program
In each course, 15% of seats are allocated for Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe applicants.
Different courses would grant OBC applicants a 27% reservation (excluding the creamy layer).
3 percent of seats will be designated for disabled candidates. Visually Impaired (1%), Hearing Impaired (1%), Orthopedically Handicapped (1%). (1 percent )
Female candidates get 15% of the seats in M.P.Ed. Vacancies will be filled by male applicants on merit.
All courses (including special courses) will include 15% extra seats for sons/daughters (including married daughters) of BHU permanent workers (including probationers).
Supernumerary “PAID SEATS” (not exceeding 15% of the total number of seats) are available in specific courses, details of which will be available at the time of admission. But not for Special Courses.
There are 15% extra places for foreigners, of which 5% are for children of NRIs and 5% are for children of Indian workers in Gulf and South Asian countries.
The campus of BHU is well-equipped with facilities and services to meet the needs of students. A total of 1360 acres are devoted to the university's campus, which houses a number of different institutions and departments. It is a one-of-a-kind residential university around the globe, with educational institutions ranging from nursery to doctorate and postdoctoral degrees housed inside the fortified campus perimeter. When it comes to Banaras Hindu University facilities, the campus is equipped with a number of amenities that place it on a level with the greatest institutions in India. Among its many facilities are a fully operational library, dormitories, and an auditorium, as well as a sports complex, a hospital, and computer laboratories. It is also one of the few universities in India to have an airport and helipad for the training of National Cadet Corps cadets.
Students have the possibility for a well-rounded growth thanks to the availability of sports facilities for them to use in their spare time. For the convenience of students and professors who live on campus, a bank and a post office branch are located on the grounds. The occupants of the campus have access to a well-stocked retail center for their day-to-day needs.
