The primary goal of the course is to provide students with a better understanding of Percussion Music-Tabla/Pakhawaj, knowledge of Prachalit Talas, knowledge of the Hindustani Notation System, and knowledge of musical instruments from South East Asia, Central Asia, and Europe, among other things. The course is more practical in nature, but it does include relevant theory to help students gain a better understanding. It assists students in developing theoretical and practical skills and ideas about the historical development of the Tabla/Pakhawaj and their playing techniques, thereby providing them with a more comprehensive understanding of Percussion Music-Tabla/Pakhawaj as a whole.
