B.A. (Hons.) - Hindustani Music Eligibility for University of Delhi in CUET

This curriculum is aimed to help students get a better grasp of the origins, development, and historical backdrop of Hindustani music, which includes both vocal and instrumental styles. This course assists students in understanding and comparing many elements of the required ragas, as well as demonstrating in practise the scales, ragas, and compositions included within them. Additionally, it aspires to provide learners with the capacity to perform and present ragas on stage, as well as knowledge and understanding of the constructive role that music plays in human growth.

 

Eligibility Requirements for Undergraduate Admissions in University of Delhi

 

Minimum Eligibility:- Class XII or its equivalent from a single recognised board must be passed by the applicant.

List A:  Languages from Section IA and Section IB of CUET 2022

Applicants must appear in at minimum one of the following languages:

Papers on List B1 and List B2 will be evaluated for Program-Specific Eligibility if they meet the requirements.

As part of the calculation of the total marks according to Program-Specific combinations of themes used to determine merit and grant admissions to undergraduate programmes in the future, the applicant's marks earned in CUET 2022 will be taken into account. During the evaluation of an applicant's merit, only the 'combination of themes in which a candidate has appeared in CUET 2022', as stipulated in the applicable Program-Specific Eligibility, will be taken into consideration.

 

Eligibility for Admissions Hindustani Music

Program Specific Eligibility

In order to be considered, candidates must sit in both the CUET and the Performance-based exam. Participants in CUET must take one of the subject combinations listed below.

 

Combination I:	Any one Language from List A	+	Performing Arts from List B2	+	Any two subjects out of which one should be from List B1
OR
Combination II:	Any one Language from List A	+	Any two subjects from List B1	+	Any one subject from either List B1 or List B2
And
Performance-Based Test

The 'Combined CUET score (50 percent weightage) and Performance-based exam scores (50 percent weightage)' will be used to determine merit.

The best score received from any one of the above-mentioned combinations of topics will be used to determine the CUET score.
